Vacancy Factory Account Officer (Beverage/FMCG)
A multinational FMCG beverage company is looking to hire a Factory Account Officer for its business operations in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Location: Sagamu, Ogun state
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database (software)
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Locating or tracking invoices, receipts, purchase orders and other financial records
Paying wages of factory workers, paying suppliers and releasing money for refunds
Ensuring that the records abide by financial regulations
Reconciling accounts at regular intervals (usually once-per-month)
Providing financial data or reporting to management for audit purposes
Checking for financial irregularities, data entry errors and potential fraud
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
Professional certification in accounting/finance is an added advantage e.g. AAT
2+ years proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Officer or Accounts Payable Clerk, etc.
Experience from a beverage FMCG company)
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Competency in MS Excel, databases and accounting software
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Well organized
