Vacancy Factory Procurement Officer (Beverage/FMCG)
A multinational FMCG beverage company is looking to hire a Factory Procurement Officer for its business operations in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Location: Sagamu, Ogun state
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
Prepare plans for the purchase of raw materials, equipment, services, and supplies.
Follow and enforce the companys procurement policies and procedures.
Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased.
Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
Maintain and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
Prepare purchase budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Review quality of purchased products.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
Hands-on experience with MSExcel or purchasing software
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
Negotiation skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
