Job Description

- Providing security for computer networks by configuring firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDSs), and other security measures
- Conducting security audits to determine whether current security measures are adequate to protect the facility or organization from cyber attacks or other threats
- Recommending security improvements to mitigate vulnerability points identified during audits
- Installing and maintaining physical security systems such as surveillance cameras, keycard access systems, and alarms
- Implementing security measures such as background checks, badge access control systems, and computer network protection (firewalls)
- Developing security policies and procedures and training staff on security best practices to reduce loss exposures
- Conducting investigations to identify and apprehend suspects involved in security breaches
- Monitoring security systems for signs of intruders or other threats
- Coordinating with law enforcement agencies to respond to security threats
