• Prior Migration project experience is preferred

Primary Skills (Migration Specific)

• Work experience in MF Visual COBOL (Use Visual Studio IDE, Analyze COBOL Source Code, Run Visual COBOL Jobs and troubleshoot issues)
• Hands on experience in Tivoli Workload Scheduler (Create/Customize Shell script & Schedule jobs)

Soft Skills

• Good Communication skills
• Flexible and Interest on adapting to new technology

Job Description

• Migrate Micro Focus COBOL to Java Spring Batch
• Understand the business logic from Micro Focus COBOL and implement in Spring Batch.
• Integrate migrated Spring Batch jobs with Tivoli Workload Scheduler through Shell scripts.
• Troubleshoot any migration issues by comparing the outputs of COBOL and Spring Batch and provide necessary fixes.
• Coordinate with relevant teams for deployments.
• Coordinate with business users during User Acceptance Testing.
• Provide periodic status of the ongoing activities to the Project Manager.
