Job Description

Working in company s offices in Woodley, London as well as a data centre based in Reading Supporting a wide range of services, including Linux and Windows Server base operating systems. Support the business in answering day-to-day technical support queries.

Requirements

  • Take a lead in maintaining VMware and physical server infrastructure based primarily in the Woodley office and Reading Data Centre
  • Ensure critical services run correctly and efficiently
  • Ensure all related backup and recovery activities are carried out promptly and tested regularly

Essential Knowledge

  • Proven Ability to build, support and maintain Linux and Microsoft Windows Servers in a VMware or physical server environment.
  • Knowledge of vSphere and vCenter 7 essential
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a company s IT infrastructure and service operations based on ITIL principles
  • Good Problem-Solving capabilities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Active Directory and associated infrastructure (User account management, group policy, AD Sync)
  • Good working knowledge of Office 365 administration, implementation and support.
  • Good working knowledge of underlying technologies such as:

  • IP Networking
  • LDAP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Microsoft NPS / RADIUS
  • Windows Terminal Services
  • Data Backup and Recovery
  • PowerShell
