GreatWater Garageshas an amazing, full-time opening in the Rockford, IL Area foran Experienced Facilities Maintenance technician.The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays an important role in the overall maintenance of all GreatWater facilities. Assisting the Construction & Facilities Manager in various tasks including, but are not limited to, new sign installation and interior and exterior renovations/updates. Will also oversee small construction projects and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs minor electrical work such as new plugs, outlets, light fixtures etc.
Performs miscellaneous painting tasks such as interior office walls, shop walls, parking stripes, etc.
Performs miscellaneous exterior maintenance tasks such as weeding, mowing, landscape work, etc.
Takes on small projects independently: small renovations, rubber base installation, kiosk building, diamond plate installation, etc.
Addresses minor HVAC items such as fan replacement, stat replacement, filter replacement, etc.
Performs minor roof repairs
Any other task as assigned by Company or direct supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
3 or more years facilities maintenance experience with a combination of painting, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, and other interior/exterior maintenance repairs
Must possess a valid US Drivers License, be insurable on Company insurance policy, and possess the ability to drive a vehicle with passengers
Willingness to learn new skills
Math Skills: Must possess ability to count, perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), and perform measurements.
Ability to use various hand tools and power tools
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Physical Demands:
o Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
o Must be able to drive a motor vehicle
o Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs without assistance.
o Ability to view a monitor, and use touch screens, mice, and keyboards.
o Ability to climb up/down and over/under work platforms, lifts, and other facility equipment to access needs for repair
o Ability to stand for long periods of time
o Ability to perform major and fine motor skill movements using body to perform the necessary actions to complete a repair, service, inspection, of facilities and/or shop cleaning activity.
o Ability to reach overhead, push, pull, bend over/down, stoop, and other major body movements frequently
This job operates in an environment with extensive exposure to an automotive repair shop environment. The job will have exposure to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers & scanners.
Must possess a current valid drivers license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Ability to work flexible hours/days including evenings and if shops are open, weekends; additional time may be required depending on business needs.
