How you'll make an impact:
This position requires a strong engineer with extensive experience in Testing complex Data-warehouse, Reports, AWS Cloud ecosystems, In-vehicle testing, and Machine learning algorithms. This position also required existing experience in working with multiple teams and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
What you'll do:
The Data QA engineer will:
Review project deliverables (for example, Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, and Technical Designs) as they relate to a given test stage.
Manage offshore team (provide guidance, task assignment, and communicate project updates to offshore)
Review offshore deliverables and communicate with the delivery team.
Review and provide input to test deliverables.
Define test plan/strategy and identify risks related to testing efforts.
Create test cases based on requirements & technical design specifications for data validation.
Test 360L In-vehicle SiriusXM app and validate the backend data.
Understand ETL logic & write complex SQL queries for data and Report Validation
Understand ML algorithms and test them with huge data
Understand Cognos Report logic and develop SQL queries for report data quality validation
Identify and analyze data discrepancies and data quality issues and work to ensure data consistency and integrity.
Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner
Works across various groups & effectively drives testing of cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.
Inform the Project Test Lead of issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the solution or the testing process.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
5 to 8 years experience in QA analyst roles in BI (Data warehouse & Report) environments
Good public speaking and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Background with databases such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, ETL tools/processes, and data warehousing architectures.
Experience in AWS eco systems (S3, Redshift, Aurora, etc.)
Experience or knowledge in Machine learning algorithms
Experience in using tools such as Informatica, job scheduling, and Unix scripting
Extensive testing experience in Data warehouse, DataMart, Stored procedure, ETL jobs, Report, Cube
Experience in Test data management
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures.
Experience with raw, unstructured data.
Strong quantitative, data tabulation, and analytic skills.
Ability to investigate discrepancies in data by writing queries and comparative analyses.
Ability to develop and use test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results
Experience using technical documents such as business requirements, functional requirements, database design representations, data, and systems flow diagrams.
Streaming data validation experience is plus
