Responsibilities:
- Uses hand tools to clean multiple chemical storage tanks including tanks containing liquid latex
- Applies knowledge of safe chemical handling daily throughout the entire shift
- Maintains predetermined levels of compounded liquids in multiple chemical storage tanks throughout the shift
- Handles approximately 20 400 to 600 lb. drums per shift using proper drum-moving equipment
- Reads and understands written instructions (i.e. MPs, OPs, SOPs, DHRs, component tickets, and adjustments logs)
- Applies knowledge of processes to take action to maintain production
- Able to make independent decisions about tanks within the parameters of tank management procedures with the guidance of the Process Control Technicians
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must know how to take accurate measurements using a variety of measuring tools (a test for knowledge will be given).
- Able to attend continuing education courses (pump maintenance, basic chemistry, etc.).
