Description:

Summary
(Main purpose of the job) Assembles and packs medical devices in a clean room/non-clean room environment following specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(List of Primary responsibilities of this role that account for 50% or more of the work. Incumbent may perform other duties as assigned.) Assemble and check medical devices following strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), specifications, and procedures.

Perform various assembly process steps at multiple workstations throughout manufacturing line rotation. Including but not limited to manual assembly of raw materials, bonding of raw materials, and assembly through manual torque application.

Perform various primary packaging process steps of medical devices including but not limited to pouching units with labeling raw materials.

Perform in-process quality inspections and checks including but not limited to visual inspection of devices, visual inspection of packaging materials, and air flow testing of devices.

Document actions, data, or results regarding manufacturing processes and assure that the information is accurate according to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities to ensure product quality.

Perform cleaning and organization of manufacturing equipment, tools, and supplies.


Qualifications

Manual Dexterity and good vision are a must.
Ability to pass visual acuity test (20x25 corrected vision) and pass Particulate Matter Certification.
Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing procedures.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to communicate with leads and supervisors.
Education and/or Experience
(Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.) High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
1-3 years manufacturing experience is preferred.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers as related to administrative work.

The physical requirements of this position
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field vision
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position
None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
