Hire Direct is currently interviewing Training Coordinators with a Manufacturing backround. As a Manufacturing Training Coordinator you will lead training programs for our hourly manufacturing associates. You will work closely with our HR, Safety, FSQA & Production teams to lead, implement, monitor, and oversee employee training within our manufacturing facility.

The ideal Training Coordinator - Manufacturing candidate will have at least 5 years of experience leading training programs for hourly associates in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse type of environment. Additionally, experience with on-the-job training programs, overseeing the administration of company-wide training programs ideally in the food manufacturing environment are preferred. Strong understanding PLC and other electrical motor, power transmission, pneumatic, and compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, pumping and fluid transfer, steam generation, troubleshooting techniques, preventative, corrective, predictive planning skills.

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000, yearly bonus potential

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and deliver of training programs for hourly associates within the manufacturing plant
  • Create and administer on-the-job training programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Responsible for driving training solutions, utilizing known training methodologies, to include needs assessment (survey, focus groups, leader or SME input and personal observation), building curriculum and design instruction
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by actively reviewing feedback
  • Administrative record keeping of all required records, paperwork, documents, to ensure the plant is always audit ready
  • Partner with human resources department to plan and forecast training needs
  • Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Training Coordinator develops, documents, and establishes the preventative maintenance of all facility and utility systems, including, but not limited to, refrigeration, Logix Refrigeration Controls, Madox production line equipment, FES Ammonia Compressors, Allen Bradley PLCs, Rogers Air Compressors, Wexar Packaging Equipment, Quqa Robotics, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), Raytex Automatic Sorters (visual/camera sorters), Veryx and Optyx laser/camera sorters (Key Technology), JBT Magnetic Onion Peelers, and FES Freeze, Tunnel equipment. Software includes Microsoft 365 Products and Redzone.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely collection of equipment data and ensures data is recorded in a well-organized manner so it can be easily retrieved and utilized to facilitate maintenance of the systems.
  • Works closely with appropriate Maintenance Management staff, in developing, implementing, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs for facility and utility systems, components, and equipment.
  • Reviews manufacturer's operation manuals to determine optimum frequency of preventative maintenance.
  • Works closely with the Maintenance Manager to distribute preventative maintenance work, collect and compile data regarding the performance of preventative maintenance, routinely evaluate the preventative maintenance program (task frequency, completion rate, timeliness, performance results, etc.) and recommend adjustments or improvements to the program.

Required Skills:

  • Bilingual Spanish and English
  • Attention to detail
  • Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Adobe and e-learning platforms (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Proven work experience coordinating multiple training events/assignments in a corporate setting.
