We have a consulting opportunity for a Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) developer for a retail client. The technical requirements for this position are below. The job is 100% remote location. The duration for this project is 6 months with a possibility of extension. Please make sure that any proposed candidate has met the requirements.

Summary:

Client has over 1,000 SSRS reports across various departments at the client of which 350 belong to Data and Analytics team. The SSRS application is currently on a 2012 SQL Server, and we currently extended support for another year. We are currently seeking a Sr. SSRS developer that will lead and work on transitioning existing reports to 2019 SQL Server and Power BI Report Server. This role is responsible for defining and delivering a migration solution from existing 2012 server environment to 2019 Server. The first phase of project will focus on the migration of Data and Analytics' 350 reports. The 2^nd phase will be working closely with other departments to migrate remaining reports based on lessons learned.

Bachelor's degree (B. S. or B. A.) in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

5+ years of SSRS experience.

5+ years of Oracle query writing experience.

Experience using the Visual Basic code behind. Highly desired for writing Dynamic Oracle SQL in our SSRS Environment.

Advanced experience and knowledge of T-SQL and Oracle SQL

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 thru 2019 Database Platforms

Microsoft Reporting Services 2012 thru 2019 Development Environment

Power BI Report Server

SharePoint front end for SSRS reports

Experience with migration from lower versions of SSRS 2012 server to SSRS 2019 server or higher.

Leading a small team to accomplish tasks

Technical Skills:

Sr. SSRS Consultant/developer

Compile user requirements and specifications for reports

Design, create, migrate, and test SQL scripts, and SSRS reports

Validate report functionality and data with internal staff

Expertise in Microsoft Reporting Services 2012 and Power BI Report Server

Expertise in Oracle SQL Queries

Experience working with complex T-SQL and dynamic SQL

Experience in migration of SSRS reports from lower versions like 2012 to higher version
