Who we are looking for

As our Maintenance Lead Technician, you will be leading a highly motivated team skilled in the trade of industrial maintenance and help implement the daily work plan that assures maintenance and repairs are efficiently performed. You will apply root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and leadership skills to perform and provide technical assistance, mentoring and feedback to fellow team members. You will use your communication skill to share information with team members, our customers, and your management team in keeping stakeholders apprised of tasks and equipment status. You will collaborate with the shift Maintenance Supervisor and assist our Planner and Scheduler in the execution of preventive maintenance programs, predictive maintenance protocols, breakdown resolves and root cause analysis. You will also lead work dealing with projects that modify or improve the performance of production equipment and building systems. In this position, you will also help delegate technicians to daily breakdowns by line priority!

Current available shifts:

N2: F/S/Sun and every other Monday - 5:30 pm - 5:30 am

What you will be doing

This position is a working lead role on shift and will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of the planned daily work schedule and for driving the Continuous Improvement efforts. This position will champion our efforts in searching for the root causes of failures and will own the effort in bring changes that eliminate those failures. So, to be successful in this position, this person must exhibit a continuous improvement attitude and the ability to train and influence their peers in searching for the root cause of all problems.

Qualifications:

What you bring

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 10 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing
  • Post high school Technical/Vocational school degree or education or related Military training with industrial electrical experience is preferred
  • Electrical diagnosing skill with ability to work up to 480 volt 3 phase circuitry
  • Strong diagnosing skills within the areas of mechanical, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience working with basic hand tools, machine shop equipment, precision measuring instruments, Volt/Ohm meters, amp meters, cutting and welding equipment.
  • Personal digital literacy with solid understanding of Microsoft office and computerized maintenance management systems. SAP a plus.
  • Experience working with extrusion, thermoform, and injection mold processing equipment and its support equipment such as material dryers, loaders and transfer systems is helpful.
  • Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, and holidays.
  • Able to operate fork truck, man lift and scissors lift.
  • Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
