Job Location :Houston, TX 77073 (Day 1 onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Detailed Job Description.
10+ years of experience in Oracle.
5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL.
Experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager with Lifecycle Management Pack for Patching and provisioning.
Understanding of OEM internals and HA/DR solution.
Proven experience of Oracle RAC and Dataguard in mission critical database environments.
Strong understanding of Oracle and PostgreSQL Architecture standards and strategies.
Experience with Power Shell scripting.
Significant experience with performance tuning, capcity planning, and optimization of database environments.
Strong Linux experience.
Experience of Installing and maintaining PostgreSQL software and implimenting monitoring and alerting.
Working knowledge of connection poolers (pgPool and PgBouncer).
Proactive database monitoring and issue resolution through custom scripts as well as using PgAdmin/Enterprise manager tools.
Implimentation and on-going support of PostgreSQL HA architecture not limited to Active/Active and Active/Passive clusters.
Experience of Upgrade, migration and Pathching of PostgreSQL and Oracle database systems
