Senior Software Engineer PHP with C# / Team Lead (f/m/x)

Work location: FULLY REMOTE within Poland

(with a possibility to use our offices in Warsaw or Zielona Gora)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Senior Engineer and Leadership role for newly created Portfolio Management Engineering Team focusing on technical solutions that will support the Finance, Procurement & Commercial teams in the areas:

• ERP integration
• Portfolio Pricing
• Portfolio Replenishment & Forecasting
• Portfolio Sellability
• Support expanding into additional markets
• Support increasing Expondo's market share in existing countries

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Design and development of the systems and integrations supporting business goals
• Developing existing and creating new services in PHP (Symfony)
• Development of our pricing engine in C# on Azure
• Mentor and manage an effective software engineering team
• Ensure alignment of the team s outcome with expondo strategy
• Provide technical knowledge and insight to peers and colleagues
• Reviewing and giving constructive feedback on others code
• Learning new technologies, keeping abreast of existing technologies and helping to introduce them where appropriate

WHAT YOU BRING IN

• At least 5 years of experience as PHP Software Engineer and at least 2 years as C# Software Engineer
• Expertise in backend systems and integrations but able to create simple UIs
• Expertise in Symfony PHP framework
• Practical knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experiences with software architecture definition, REST APIs, unit testing
• Hands-on experience in using Docker
• Working experience with automated integration tests and CI/CD approach
• Experience with GIT (BitBucket, Azure DevOps) & Atlassian tools
• Knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL and MongoDB databases
• A business-oriented approach towards software requirements and development
• Very good command of English in speaking and writing

WOULD BE AN ASSET

• Good practical knowledge of Python
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design
• Experience with Azure (Terraform) and "monitoring first" approach
