The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of producing product documentation and pair writing with API subject matter experts (SMEs).
The candidate will work closely with colleagues across content, design, product and developer teams to create best-in-class content that resonates with users and helps grow our audience.
What You'll Do:
- Standardize existing API documentation to follow established editorial guidelines as well as ensure it is clear, concise, and accurate; provide guidance on how best to accommodate developer audiences.
- Work with product owners and other SMEs to create, publish, and maintain API documentation.
- Partner with product owners to gain a technical understanding of how their APIs work; set up pairwriting sessions to create draft documentation in real time.
- Help drive product development efforts by actively working with and supporting development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Manage review cycles for API documentation by collaborating with content, product, tech and legal teams.
- Complete editorial reviews of API content by following our client's standards for style, grammar, and voice and tone.
Skills / Experience You Will Need:
- Previous experience pair writing with SMEs to create product documentation.
- At least 3 years of technical writing experience, preferably in the payments industry.
- Detail-orientated, able to communicate the same message in multiple ways and understand which method is ideal for each situation.
