The role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to lead our IT Service Desk and IT Support Teams to help deliver outstanding customer service to the business.

At Ground Control we have over 3000 internal and external IT customers using a wide range of IT services that we support.

Your primary objective will be to manage the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support teams, to ensure the satisfactory resolution of incidents and service requests from our customers.

You will work closely with your colleagues to continuously improve the IT Service Management function to help fine-tune the service we deliver to the business.

About you

  • You have an in-depth knowledge of IT support functions, with at least 3 years of experience managing an IT service desk or IT support team.
  • You have strong technical and problems solving skills, enabling you to be a point of escalation for complex issues. Ideally, you would have worked as 3rd line application support.
  • You have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • You are a leader, who fosters team working and demonstrates excellent people management skills.
  • You have studied IT service management best practices with qualifications in ITIL/COBIT
