Sequana Medical is an innovative medtech company that has developed the alfapump platform for the treatment of fluid overload in liver disease and heart failure. The alfapump is a fully implantable, programmable, wirelessly rechargeable, battery-powered system that is CE marked. Over 1000 alfapump systems have already been implanted. The alfapump has been classified as a breakthrough device by the US FDA. In the course of the scale-up of production at the Zurich site, the team will be further expanded. For this growth phase, we are looking for a

Tasks

• Ensuring reliable delivery of electronic components, cables, PCBs, etc. for smooth production
• Searching, evaluating and selecting new suppliers and participating in feasibility studies for new items, reviewing components and offers
• Reporting supply problems that may pose a risk or impact business operations
• Supporting product change requests, reviewing and communicating the impact on operational activities and capacity plans
• Monitor and report on obsolescence of components..
• Support implementation for procurement and eProcurement solutions.
• Ensuring that all necessary approvals are documented
• Monitoring supplier management, conducting supplier evaluations and supplier audits

Requirements

• Technical background and training with a focus on electronics, mechatronics, electromechanics or similar.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) relevant business/commercial or manufacturing-related field of study or equivalent education
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing electrical components, printed circuit boards, etc.
• Background in medical devices and knowledge of relevant regulations (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820 etc.), quality systems and relevant concepts is an advantage
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Good ERP and Office skills, especially Excel
• Business fluent English is mandatory, good German skills are a plus
