IT Asset Manager

Position Name: IT Asset Manager

Description:

• The role requires to provide day-to-day procurement support to a large customer account.
• Candidate will be leading Asset Management team that consists of HW/SW asset management, CMDB and 3rd party procurement, and primarily focusing on procurement and vendor management for HW/SW maintenance, service and resource contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Contract renewals for Japan
• Timely Renewals of all contracts
• Track invoices andcounter invoices
• Interact with Tower leads for usage confirmation, contract plans
• Interact with Global CPO team for negotiation and PO creation
• Interact with managers for approvals
• Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
• Meeting with suitable vendors to inquire about their services, negotiate pricing for Best And Final Offer and communicate any product or service-related concerns
• Maintain repository on SharePoint
• Direct interfacing with customer
• Conduct weekly calls with customer
• Understand ‘Asset transfer’ related matters and maintain the information
• Validation of new assets with Tower leads
• Upload/update assets on CMDB
• Team and people management for 3PCM, Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management
• Responsible for CMDB data accuracy and continual improvement
• Responsible for Flexera data accuracy and continual improvement
• Responsible for CMDB and Software asset management KPIs

Qualifications:

• Category knowledge (Hardware & Software License & Cloud Services procurement Knowledge)
• Contract Management
• Vendor management
• Good Analytical skills, Good Knowledge in Excel & PPT
• Stakeholder Management
• Good Written and Oral communication skills in both Japanese and English
• Ability to learn new things quickly
• Ability to work and drive matters by her/himself with the expertise in the domain
