Location 100% Remote

• Oracle RDBMS
• MySQL
• PostGreSQL
• NoSQL
• Linux or Unix-based systems experience
• Some experience or knowledge with:
• Cloud-native Monitoring solutions

Core Responsibilities:

• MSSQL database migration and upgradation of older version from SQL 2000 to supported SQL 2012 and higher versions.
• Database migrations within On-premise Datacenters and to the Cloud.
• Support installation and operation of Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle RDBMS.
• Implement database solutions that are scalable and architected for high availability like AlwaysOn Availability, Failover Clustering, log shipping, etc.
• Migration of SQL integration service packages and jobs from legacy to supported versions.

• Database and SQL Performance Tuning experience.
• Create and maintain functional and security patching schedules in adherence to company standards and policy.
• Adhere to Change Management and approval process on any changes and migration work on the prod and non-prod environments. Strictly follow Organization and customer's standards and policies without any deviation.
• Peer review and approve changes to the environment entered into by other team members. Assure risks are managed and steps to execute include roll forward and roll back plans.
• Demonstrable experience with Automation technologies such as PowerShell and reporting tools like PowerBI.
• Plan and execute database migrationupgradation by collaborating with the application stakeholders and Design Architects and provide status to the customers on regular basis.
• Work with management and Product and Technology teams for short- and long-term database planning, technology roadmap creation and operational improvements. Define Service Level and Operating Level agreements that service both the internal and external customer needs of the company.

• Provide 24/7 support including being a part of an on-call rotation. Flexibility to build and maintain the schedules with the offshore team members is required. Establishing of daily, weekly, and monthly health checks to ensure optimal operation of IT systems
• Install, configure and setup for support all databases required by application teams. This will cover non-production through production SDLC and may also include piloting new environments to PoC new capabilities
• Knowledge and experience working directly with vendors for support escalation and technology advancement.
• Ensure databases have the correct data protection backup and recovery plans and that these plans are exercised on a regular basis for local restoration needs
