Job Title: Corporate Development Sr. Analyst
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Remote from anywhere
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work hours: 8:00 EST 6:00 EST Monday - Friday
9 years MAX of work experience
Travel: Yes - Approx 2 times per a month to Blue Bell, PA when they have some active projects
CANDIDATES MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION
Only US citizens and Green Card holders will be considered
Top 3 Skills: Investment banking/PE experience, Deal/Transaction in IT Services
The manager does not want anyone that has graduated undergrad prior to 2018, Candidates must have some direct Mergers & Acquisitions experience in either a corp dev role, investment bank or PE.
CPA's, Real Estate, Investment (Wealth Management) roles, etc. are not the same as M&A.
They want someone with:
At least 3 years of experience
HM wants recent college grads (2018 grads)
Investment Banking or Valuation firm background is VERY important
Experience in banking AND buy / purchasing side is CRITICAL
o Investment banking focus
Also maybe Private Equity (PE) experience
This is a mergers and acquisitions group, so someone with that experience is needed and they will likely work on 4-5 deals at a time
Job Description:
The Corporate Development group primarily engages in the execution of M&A transactions. The candidate will assist in the management of an existing portfolio of strategic projects that are aimed to improve business performance, as well as manage the overall M&A transaction process (i.e.: sourcing, due diligence, negotiations, documentation and closing) with functional representatives, supporting integration planning; and building final recommendations on (i.e.: build vs. buy or divestment) decision(s).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist and facilitate the acquisition and divestiture process by coordinating and leading internal and external cross-functional teams in all phases of the process.
Evaluate and assist with recommendation of acquisition targets for senior management
Perform valuations of various potential target companies, including working with business unit personnel in the creation of their financial plan for the target post-acquisition.
Assist all aspects of due diligence on acquisition candidates with an emphasis on financial due diligence (quality of earnings, etc.)
Provide assessment on the strategic fit, synergy potential, and key risks to enable the executive team to make well-informed investment decisions
Evaluate the economics and business models of specific products/services, companies, and industry sectors and then present strategic context and findings to leadership in a concise manner
Research key technology trends impacting the IT industry
Under zero to limited supervision, plan, manage, and support cross-functional project teams to execute special projects and corporate initiatives.
Engage with cross-functional support and business teams at varied levels to align on key objectives, schedule and track attainment of project milestones.
Act as a PMO and establish meeting cadence, governance, and reporting aimed to drive projects to a successful completion.
Provide strategy and insight to existing portfolio of strategic projects that are aimed to improve business performance, including product/service portfolio modification, resource re-allocation, and cost optimization.
Develop collateral and analysis for the CEO, CFO, Unisys Board of Directors, senior leadership
Required Experience:
No less than 3 years of total experience
~3 + years of direct M&A experience either as an investment banker, private equity or as a part of corporate development group.
Experience with either a private equity firm, large company corporate development group or investment banking firm is highly preferred
With very limited supervision, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and facilitate the acquisition and divestiture process from start to finish by coordinating and leading internal and external cross-functional teams in all phases of the process.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience in making presentations and communicating ideas and plans to senior executives
Must demonstrate excellent leadership, critical thinking and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities on various projects.
Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and financial modeling
Ability to manage certain aspects of transactions/projects
High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work product.
Must be a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills
Expertise in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, including Pivot Tables.
Analytical skill, with the ability to analyze and integrate meaningful data.
Solid financial acumen or business background.
Experience in IT Sector is a plus
Advanced degrees or designation (e.g., CPA or CFA) are not required, but preferred
