Brief Project Description
This position will be assigned to the Office of IT Coordination within the Division of Employment and Training at the Department of Workforce Development and will be responsible for leading application development and Business Intelligence (Bl) projects for the Division as a Business Solutions Manager (part Project Manager, part Business Analyst, part Product Owner). The incumbent will be responsible for liasing with Client and partner staff, as well as end users, to determine whether system modifications are needed as a result of policy changes, user requests, and/or other events. This position is expected to facilitate planning meetings and coordinate the development and testing of needed application and Bl changes, which requires comprehensive knowledge of program policy development and operations, systems design, user acceptance testing, systems implementation and follow-up. This position is also responsible for requirements gathering, story creation, and business process documentation. The systems supported and to be developed by this position have a significant impact on the day-to-day operations of workforce development programs serving job seekers and employers throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Hardware/Software Environment
The applications used to administer the Division's programs are primarily web-based and are developed in the MS .Net environment. Active Directory (AD) is used to administer user access to these systems. Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure DevOps is used to track system requests, project status, and coordinate User Acce tance Testin UAT issue resolution.
