Master Thesis for Electric Car Simulation (f/m/d)

We are an e-mobility software start-up founded in 2021, focused on revolutionizing electric car charging infrastructure and local energy management. Since its inception, the Pionix family has grown to over 20 employees contributing their knowledge and ideas on a daily basis. With our open source software EVerest (part of the Linux Foundation) we have taken the first big step towards a sustainable and green future. Now we would like to go even further and offer you the opportunity to write your master thesis with us.

Tasks

• Construction of an open source (HW+SW) e-car simulator board for testing AC charging stations according to IEC 61851 and ISO 15118-2/20
• Development and setup of the hardware
• Adaptation of the Linux based SW stack for the vehicle side
• Development of new SW: simulation modules and hardware control.
• Ideally: Development of a database for the simulation of different vehicle types

Requirements

• Embedded SW development (C++)
• Design of simple circuits and PCBs (e.g. with KiCad)
• Experience with open source or software projects
• Experience with common developer tools and code management
• Experience with Linux commandline and scripting
• Reliability and sense of responsibility
• A careful and independent work style
