Responsible for the 24/7 support of Oracle database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security, and performance
Promptly and professionally answer incoming calls / emails, determine the caller's needs, answer general inquiries and / or gather appropriate information to support timely resolution of the request
Document the call, and if applicable, initiate and follow the appropriate workflow when the issue is not immediately resolved and/or escalated
19c/18c/12c Oracle RAC installation, administration
Exadata Administration YUM patch install, BP patch, patch install, cell node administration
Active Dataguard setup, administration, installation , Failover and Switchover process
Recovery Manager configuration, administrations,
Tape backup configuration, hands-on recovery and restoration procedures
Database configuration & Administration
Internal parameter configurations
Backup/recovery configurations
Oracle Enterprise Manager setup
Golden Gate installation and Setup.
HA configuration implementation (Instance Load-balancing, cluster maintenance)
Monitoring tool installation and configuration
Database startup/shutdown Database moves (Host to Host)
Database copies/Refresh (Prod to Dev, QA)
Database upgrades
Coordinate with database vendors for resolution
Support application support/development teams
Oracle 12c/13c OME Metrics Collection Design and configurations
Database/memory sizing
Capacity Planning
Trend Analysis and recommendation Database Maintenance / Housekeeping
Oracle Database performance profiling and tuning (understanding execution plans, AWR/ADDM reports, hints
Monitoring and managing the health of the database with optimization and automation in mind
Work may require flexible work periods to address application and client needs
The person should be familiar with supporting customer facing three tier applications and have the ability to resolve service request while working with third party technical product teams
