Lead QA Job Description
Substantial-quality assurance testing goes through before a Finance Technology (FinTech) product or application is released. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will promote and ensure the software quality of our products. You will be a crucial contributor to the entire engineering team by assuring high-quality code and helping your teammates do so by mentoring and providing support whenever needed. You'll work across the engineering team interacting with product managers, designers, engineers, and other QA Engineers in gathering and executing those product requirements promptly. You find great excitement and passion in being challenged, can discover, evaluate, and leverage new technologies; have a love for solving complex problems; and are energized by making successful.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Engineering and 10+ years of cumulative experience in software development and/or test automation.
- An engineering expert can reverse engineer the most complex defects, sources of dirty data, and configuration errors.
- Ability to reconstruct these complex issues into clear proof for development to fix. Understands the quality portion of building, packaging, and deploying code. Identify patterns that need to be addressed from a quality perspective before hitting QA environments.
- Firm grasp of the testing process, test types, and testing methodologies.
- Cloud computing experience is preferred - like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- SAAS application experience.
- SQL expertise. At least 10 years of professional experience working with SQL.
- Extensive back end, REST API automation experience
- Demonstrated understanding and application of algorithms to test solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Extensive experience with the Unix/Linux environment.
- Experience with building test automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships that improved the quality of work products.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex problems in large systems.
- Experience with Test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in C#/Java/Python with frameworks like NUnit/JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, and Appium is preferred.
- Must be a detail-oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with a passion for quality and test automation.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills. Experience leading ambiguous situations, dealing with technical issues, and developing practical solutions to ensure project deliverables.
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems. Experience with tools & applications such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, and Artifactory.
