Job Description

JOB TITLE: Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) Release Coordinator

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The Massachusetts Health Insurance Exchange/Integrated Eligibility System (MA HIX/IES) is the health insurance marketplace for Massachusetts. It allows individuals and small businesses to shop for and enroll in subsidized or non-subsidized insurance based on a side-by-side comparison of plans. The HIX Program team is committed to creating and maintaining a best-in-class HIX system that will meet or exceed federal ACA requirements, maximize flexibility, minimize the technical and operational support burden, dynamically adapt to changing rules, policies and legislation, and set a new standard in consumer ease of use and satisfaction

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the MA HIX Release Manager, the Release Coordinator works with internal and/or external stakeholders to organize components of the project. Duties include day-to-day coordination of schedules and activities, tracking progress, and reporting results. Assist in management of multiple project schedules and ensure project progress from conception to completion including change and scope management. Work with team members to ensure completion of all Release Deliverables, communication of Risks & Issues, and program level activities. Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are documented and uploaded to appropriate repositories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

.Support Applications Director
o Deliverable: Project Support
.Create and manage daily task lists of action items and follow-ups

o Deliverable: Task & Administrative Management, i.e., scheduling meetings, minutes and facilitating, as needed

Understand the various organizations involved in the project and their interests

o Deliverable: Understanding the business stakeholders' needs and objectives

Develop and maintain effective relationships with project team members, senior leadership, and stakeholders

o Deliverable: Excellent communications skills, both written and oral; high level of diplomacy

Project plan updates, track, and complete project tasks, follows up on open items, track issues, and understand the scope of the project

o Deliverable: Project Coordination

Ensure tasks and outputs are timely, of the highest quality, and are tailored to the unique needs of the project's stakeholders

o Deliverable: Quality Assurance

Responds proactively to requests for information

o Deliverable: Time Management

Provide input to Team Status Reports

o Deliverable: Status Report Preparation Track team deliverables o Deliverable: Project Deliverables, tracking and ensuring deliverables are received according to the project schedule

Update/modify tickets in JIRA/ALM

o Deliverable: Database Management

Assist with Presentations

o Deliverable: Document Creatio

REQUIRED SKILLS (Special Skill Set, Abilities, Knowledge):

  • Responds quickly to inquiries/emails, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with superb organizational skills, tracks and follows up on tasks independently
  • Ability to prioritize and operate in a flexible manner in order to meet the needs of the team
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and take direction well
  • Team player, energetic, with a "can-do attitude."
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Years' Experience, Certificates):

  • BS in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3 -5 years project coordinator experience preferably within an IT environment
