Duties: The BridgeWay is located in Little Rock, AR & is a 103-bed facility. They offer a continuum of services designed to help children, adolescents & adults who are experiencing those behavioral, emotional or addictive problems that can lead to fractured lives. Nestled with the wooded hills of Central Arkansas, the location is private & serene. While the setting is secluded, it is located just a few miles from the highways that connect Arkansans, which facilitates admissions & visitation. They are also a free st&ing Psych Hospital with all paper charting. RN's are responsible for admissions, D/C's, treatment plans & medications. No On-site Security. Hospital staffs to acuity, not patient ratios. The below is intended to describe the general content of the requirements of the performance in this position. It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements. Position Purpose: The RN I is a proficient nursing leader & integral member of the multidisciplinary team who has developed expertise in an exp&ed RN role within a specific unit/shift setting. The RN I is responsible for the routine functioning of the unit on his/her assigned shift. The RN I is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing & coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The RN I is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the missions of the hospital. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Interpersonal Relationships: As a representative of The BridgeWay, all comments, attitudes, actions, & behaviors have a direct affect on the Facility's image & perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, & professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with facility STANDARDS & guidelines to promote positive relations. SKILLS & ABILITIES: 1. Effective oral & written communication skills & knowledge of telephone etiquette is required. 2. Ability to interact in a positive manner & to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor & other hospital employees. 3. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. 4. Ability to adapt to changes in how information is processed. 5. Developing leadership skills. 6. Developing teaching skills. 7. Developing time management skills. 8. Display developing problem solving skills. 9. Advanced computer skills preferred. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Primarily works indoors in a climate controlled environment, within close proximity of other staff & patients. Potential exposures to unpleasant orders, blood & other bodily fluids. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to speak clearly & hear. St&ing, stooping, kneeling, manual dexterity, pushing, pulling & lifting a minimum of 25 lbs. Visual acuity needed to accurately & quickly provide patient observation. MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED: Clinical equipment used for patient care, i.e., EKG machine, AED machine, automated blood pressure machine, video monitor equipment. Office equipment: computer, copy machine, addressograph, fax, telephone. DEGREE OF SUPERVISION: Minimal Must be able to work independently/ self-directed, but also take directions.

Skills: BLS Certification - Required CPI Blue Card - Highly desired RN Licensure in state of Arkansas - Required standalone behavioral health psych experience (minimum of 1 year) - Required: 1 Years Travel experience - Required

Education: Total education, vocational training & experience: RN License. Psychiatric experience preferred.

Schedule Notes: Sat/Sun/Mon 7p-7a - 12hr Shift - 13 weeks
