Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international metals trader looking to hire an LME Hedging Lead to join their close-knit team in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Managing the daily aluminium hedging of trading flows with financial derivatives, including positions and credit line management
Develop and implement improved hedging strategies for the group, ensuring the firm retains the best in-class approach to their metals risk management process
Support the physical sales / trading team with all necessary hedging requirements, price forecasting and training (hedging, LME, premiums), as well as providing relevant market and technical analysis
Conduct and present market reports on price, spreads, stocks and maintain a strong network of brokers and banks
Perform other ad-hoc duties related to trade finance and documentation when required (Letters of credit, general contract administration etc.)

Key Qualifications / Experience

Demonstrated track record of successful hedging / risk management duties within the metals space, with a strong understanding of LME / premiums etc.
Advanced knowledge of futures and options trading, any specific aluminium related experience is also a big plus
Ability to create and implement new hedging strategies, understanding of relevant compliance procedures and the basics of accounting / finance
Happy to work within a small team, taking the lead on all metals hedging responsibilities as well as performing ad-hoc duties if needed
Located in Switzerland / happy to relocate
