Field Services IT Engineer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist users with a variety of issues including but not limited to; software application errors, software installation/configuration, desktop/laptop hardware, network communications, Internet connectivity, Point of Sale (POS) hardware/software, printers/scanners.
• Document all work performed through a ticket tracking system and effectively route and/or escalate tickets to the appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with team members to form effective technical solutions.
• Interact with ICS leadership and team members to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Monitor customer infrastructure using provided tools and ensure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or higher in Computer Science, Internet Technology, or related fields and/or 1-3 years applicable work experience in IT support preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with the following technologies: Windows 10, MACOS, MS Office, Office 365, Windows Server OS, and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of general networking technologies that include TCP/IP, cables, IP phones, workstation connectivity, printer connectivity, POS devices, and Active Directory administration
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WLAN/WAN, TCP/IP, ICMP, 802.11 wireless networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RSA
• Ability to multi-task and maintain good communication is a must.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem-analysis and solving skills.
• Self-starter, dependable and accurate in completing tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment

Other non-mandatory Qualifications:

• IT-related certifications (i.e., A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, or MCP)
• Basic server and network virtualization technologies from leading providers such as VMware or Microsoft
• Familiarity with remote support and management tools
• Strong knowledge of on-premises and/or cloud-based Backup/Recovery tools
• Familiarity with hospitality applications such as: PMS-Opera; POS-Micros; Revenue Management-Ideas, HotSOS, Saflok, InnComm
