RN Psych Travel FBH

Duties: Foundations Behavioral Health is located in Doylestown, PA & is 100 bed facility. They are also a free st&ing Psych Hospital with all paper charting. RN's are responsible for admissions, D/C's, treatment plans & medications. No On-site Security. Hospital staffs to acuity, not patient ratios. They provide treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, Pa. & provides a comprehensive network of behavioral, psychiatric, educational, & community services offered for children, adolescents & young adults The below is intended to describe the general content of the requirements of the performance in this position. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for implementation of the nursing process in all aspects of patient care, assuring a comprehensive patient care approach using psychiatric nursing practice theory & assisting the Nurse Manager of planning, implementing & evaluation of patient care on his/her unit. ADA/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Strength: Prolonged periods of st&ing, walking & sitting, are required. Must be able to move quickly in response to a psychiatric or medical emergency. Must be able to lift, carry, pull & push approximately 40 pounds. Must be able to stoop, balance & kneel. Must have eye-h& coordination. Must be able to climb stairs. Eyesight, Hearing & Speech: Must have satisfactory close & distant vision. Must have complete field of vision. Must have depth perception & color vision. Must hear ordinary conversations in person & on the telephone. Environmental Conditions: Must be able to spend extended time indoors & outdoors. May be exposed briefly to extreme outdoor heat & cold. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, gases & hazardous waste. May be exposed to offensive language. May be exposed to patients who demonstrate aggressive behavior. . May be exposed to communicable diseases. May be exposed to inclement weather, heat, cold, pollen, & insect stings in the course of performing job responsibilities throughout FBH campus. Additional Requirements: Must be able to communicate clearly & legibly in writing. Must be able to maintain constant interactions with patients experiencing severe psychiatric disorders.

Skills: BLS certification - Required Current RN license to practice in the state of PA - Required Graduate from an accredited school of nursing - Required Handle with Care (HWC) - will train during orientation - Required Must be at least 21 years of age - Required Travel experience - minimum of 1 year - Required Two (2) years of nursing experience with psychiatric nursing experience - Required
