Define cost effective & robust process flow with accurate manufacturing cost for all the RFQs based on the harness type and application
Conduct effective Manufacturing Feasibility study along with core team as per the criteria
Participate in Design Reviews and conduct thorough Design for Manufacturability to mitigate all the design related concerns
Participate in PFMEA reviews and address all the potential failures, suggest/ implement the corrective actions wherever economically feasible
Development of tools/fixtures/boards /testers based on the product or process requirement by coordinating with internal Tooling development team
Derive the tooling requirement including controls, Poka-Yoke and cycle time and communicate effectively to internal Tooling development team
Develop Special Purpose Machines if needed for any project with help of internal / external suppliers ( Automation team / external Vendors)
Prepare and submit the PAR (Project Approval Request ) for any tooling / investment if crossing 3K USD
Make and update Project plan for each part numbers and review with CFT frequently
Obtain management support whenever the Project timelines are critical or the relevant department's support is not sufficient.
Identify the TGR & TGW for all the projects and communicate the same to relevant team for Horizontal deployment
Ensure new product development process meets PDP process requirement for each stages
Engage Process Engineers in to innovations and value added activities
Develop process guidelines for all the common process
Drive corrective actions and preventive actions for all process related concerns
Knowledge on process development
Hand on experience on process FMEA / APQP & PPAP process
Understanding on product / process costing
Knowledge on lean manufacturing
Hands on tools and fixture development
Knowledge on ISO and TS requirements will be an added advantage
Knowledge on wiring harness manufacturing process will be an added advantage
