Heavy Equipment Operator

Heavy Equipment Operator Salary: $32.75 hourly for 35 - 40 hours per week (Travel and relocation expenses covered by the employer) Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Terms of Employment: Permanent & Full-Time Number of positions: 2 Employment Conditions Weekdays, Weekends, Morning, Day, Evening, Tight deadlines, overtime may be required. Job requirements Languages English Education Secondary (high) school Experience No experience is required; on the job paid training will be provided. 1 to 6 months relevant experience is required Specific Skills Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials used in construction and other activities Perform pre-operational inspection of equipment and cleaning, lubrication and refilling of equipment. Read and interpret specifications; prepare accident reports Operate heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread or compact construction materials during construction Assist the pile driver in operating heavy equipment to drive piling into earth to prepare supportive framework for buildings Operate power shovels to excavate materials from construction pits Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload the cargo Operate bobcats or other equipment to clear brush Additional Skills and Personal Suitability Ability to make reliable decisions Organized Security and Safety Security and safety guidelines should always be kept in mind and must be strictly followed at all the times. Hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe-cap shoes.
