Under limited supervision, manages projects through the full life cycle from project definition and approval through implementation and evaluation of all project deliverables. Provides guidance to the project team. May also serve in a lead role.
Provide project/program leadership and support for information technology project teams - from project initiation to completion. Assignments are typically single, complex mid-sized projects or multiple, related components of large projects related to implementing new or revised information management systems. Teams are comprised of technical experts, function faculty, staff, and stakeholders. This position will supervise and subject matter experts, engineers, and project managers. This position will interact on a consistent basis with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. This position typically will advise and counsel: and may supervise assigned staff. Candidates who project-managed full life cycle application implementations and/or upgrades in an enterprise and/or university environment will be strongly considered.
This position is 100% remote. Out-of-state applicants will be accepted.
SKILLS
This job requires seasoned skills in project management, budget administration, written and spoken communications, and leadership/supervision, and public sector acquisitions. Knowledge of technical concepts, capabilities and limitations for a broad range of technologies or solutions is required as is an understanding of matrix management concepts.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
