Job Description
Job Title: Microbiology Technician I
Location: Plymouth, MN - ON-SITE
Contract Duration: 12-month contract
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Description:
The Microbiology Technician supports the Microbiology Laboratory with the following:
o Ordering of supplies
o Sterility testing of devices and components
o Bioburden estimation of devices, components, and solutions
o Endotoxin testing of devices, components, and solutions
o Identification of microbial isolates
o Coordinate validation of product sterilization cycles
o Coordinate validation of product test procedures
o Perform Environmental Monitoring
o Perform certification testing of cleanrooms (particle counts, air velocity, pressure differential, microbial count, air filter leak test).
o Documentation of laboratory procedures
o Accurate record keeping of lab procedures performed and their results
o Archiving of lab records.
Other Duties:
- List any other important but non-essential and/or infrequent duties performed.
- Modification of controlled documents via the Change Order process.
- Troubleshooting/Brainstorm microbiological test procedures, cleanroom environmental disruptions, and sterilization cycles.
- Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
