About The Opportunity

The Finance & Business Operations team supports an array of territory objectives, with a focus on business performance management, real estate underwriting, financial planning and reporting, revenue optimization, and other strategic initiatives. This role will act as a finance representative for the Korea (KR) business team and will partner closely with Territory General Manager (GM) as well as the cross-functional territory teams (Sales, Building Operations, Real Estate, and Development).

We are looking for a highly passionate, analytically-driven, strategic finance professional to help drive WeWorks business in KR. In this high-profile role, you will report to the Head of Finance & Business Operations, Pacific. This role will serve as a key finance function for the KR business, playing an instrumental role in strategic decision-making, key business processes, and achieving growth and profitability.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong communications and relationships skills as well as strong problem solving and analytical skills. You will have significant autonomy, so were looking for good judgment and experience working cross-functionally and across a variety of levels.

In this role, you will:


Portfolio Optimization: Serve as a trusted, strategic finance partner to our leadership team in the areas of capital spend, ROI, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability

Strategic Analysis: Independently perform asset-specific analyses (e.g. asset performance reviews, operating expense analysis, pricing reviews, etc.) and work to evaluate financial impacts of long-term strategic initiatives with broader Finance team

Capital: Serve as a steward of capital by identifying opportunities to drive higher returns and ensure the consistent and universal application of strategic, ROI-based decision-making

Real Estate Underwriting: Modeling of Real Estate transactions, benchmarking and overall pipeline/portfolio assessment, including evaluating proposals for Landlord and Franchise negotiations

Project Management: Contribute to end-to-end financial strategy-led projects, from preparing project briefs to modeling and forming strategic recommendations

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of month close financials and key performance indicators (KPIs) for monthly business reviews and monthly reporting to Territory Leadership




About You

Higher-level studies in Finance, Economics, or other course of similar study

3+ years of experience in FP&A and/or Strategic Finance equivalent functions; experience in analytically-driven roles is a plus (i.e. Investment Banking, Consulting, Analytics, etc.).

Korean language is essential to support South Korea market

A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment

Experience in Strategic Finance and/or Business Consulting equivalent functions; experience in analytically-driven roles is a plus (i.e. Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Analytics, etc.)

Experience defining analytical/research projects, analyzing data, modeling, and generating practical insights and recommendations

Motivation and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities at once

Resourceful and relentless attitude, with capabilities of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations

Highly innovative problem solving skills and strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format

Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done

Highly proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.), Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint.
