Working Student/Freelancer: Editor/Proofreader (m/f/d)

Table Media develops new quality journalism - from experts for experts. For our daily and weekly Professional Briefings, our experienced editors do in-depth research on challenging topics - day after day. In addition to analyses, news, and upcoming events, we also provide the profiles of key individuals in their respective professional communities. In this section, we regularly feature sinologists, climate researchers, start-up entrepreneurs, members of parliament or digital stakeholders, amongst others.

Table Media is continuously expanding with its upcoming new products into additional markets and roles, and now we are looking for You as a Working Student or Freelancer: Editor/Proofreader (m/f/d) to support our editorial team at the earliest!

Tasks

• ensure the accuracy and quality of our English editorial products, and actively contribute to make them better by excellent translation, copyediting, proofreading, and research.
• have a flexible work schedule.
• work closely with our editorial team and collaboratively with other teams with content creation in English.

Requirements

• Excellent command of the English and German Language in both comprehension and writing
• Previous journalistic/editorial experience gained at university, through media projects, or internships at media companies
• Excellent writing skills, and an understanding of search engine optimization
• Interest and knowledge in economic and political topics
• Ability to distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information as well as a fact check, when necessary
• Outstanding communication skills and willingness to proactively learn new things
• Ability to work and make critical decisions independently
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and within limited time constraints
