Job Description

- Manage and support the logistics team's day-to-day operations. Manage escalations and provide resolution to all stake holders
- Ensure consistent client satisfaction by maintaining KPIs & deliverables as per Statement of Work
- Schedule team coverage and cross training initiatives. Manage on-call & holiday coverage schedules for team members
- Supervise and manage employees regarding leave requests, disciplinary action, coaching, employee growth and development, etc. Mentoring and guiding team on their activities
- Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for accuracy and ensure client's Project Managers and Management are informed of all shipment issues via reports sent daily
- Maintain contracts and rate information in appropriate systems of record ( Rate contract & SOW )
- Drive logistics Quality and safety improvement with LSPS to ensure safe and on time delviery
- Logistics planning management of projects ; Track vessel to determine ETA to PoI
- Monitor inventory, facilitate return shipping, and ensure appropriate handling equipment available for future shipment needs
- Cancellation of bond at customs for returnable shipment( region specfic)
- Re covery of duty drawback amount from customs for re- export shipment (region specific )
- Monthly operating Review submission to business
- Capture all data points (i.e. dates, shipment, tracking, cost, documentation) for optimal transport execution, sourcing and reporting needs.
- Data Collection (to support Supplier Monitoring and Evaluation, and Sourcing activities such as volume estimates for RFQ, Financial reporting cycles, etc.)
- Ensure Training to the LSP on Freight Audit process in region. Guidelines to LSPs for preparation of Invoice as per PO terms & conditions and Line items. Ensure timely submission of invoices from LSPs.
- Freight Payment Integration and support in payment release on issue resolution .
- Support New Initiatives like new system implementation of OTM , New carriers / P&Ls / procedure launching .
- Savings Capture (recording forecasted and actual savings and reporting out to Company Project & sourcing )
- LSP Payment follow up and tracking and recording ; Freight bills monitoring with IPS and GE Finance & Queries releated to finance attending.
- Tracking of LSP invoices with B2P , Apex & Sabrix Team, expedite to resolve Apex & Sabrix issues.
- Expedite with Finance Team for LSP Invoices for Expedited WF for Payment, Payment Resolution, Correction in invoices w.r.t Service Tax, quantity mismatch and address Issues etc.
- Expedite with Finance Team for timely release of LSP payment, updating payment release invoice wise to LSPs & updation of LSP outstanding list and reconsilation of payment .
- Support ITO request
- Distribution of ITO/OTR RFQs to Corresponding Base of Logistics Service Providers via Business, Commodity, Equipment, or Scope of Work-Specific Distribution Lists.
- Compilation of Validated Comprehensive Bid Responses by Logistics Service Providers and/or Identification of Best Logistics Option.
- Distribution/Notification of Contractual Awards to Corresponding Logistics Service Provider Base and Finalization of Contracts and Booking information via Submission to Corresponding Service Providers, Operations Teams and/or System of Record.
- Complete RFQ process for non-contracted lane
- Support logistics quality improvement by timely record in NC system for any non-conformance at transactional level & Monthly Report (Import, Export & Domestic )
- Maintain MSA , trasnsport agreement , contracts & Tracker
- Analyze all key characteristics (weight, dims, origin, destination, delivery need dates, time available), select the most optimal transportation method & service in terms of cost, cycle time, and risk. Manage premium cost approval process
- Initiatives to add new Transporter for cost optimization and better execution
- Spot Audit EHS & Logistics quality ( whenever there is a movement )
- Arrangement of Project Route Survey through LSP( region specific )
- Monitor fixture inventory, facilitate fixture return shipping, and ensure appropriate fixtures availablity for future project requierment
- Enusure business fullfilment is met and timely colobration with business on fullfilments
- Co-ordiante with GSA Global Heavyweight Air , FCL, LCL team on long validity rate contracts
- Implementation of GSA rates in business
