A growing family orientated manufacturing company that has a "work hard/play hard" mentality is in need of a Materials Manager. This position will plan, control and coordinate all materials for production, inventory, and warehousing. The Materials Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager.
What you will be doing:
- Supervise and lead 4 direct reports in scheduling, inventory and distribution, and purchasing
- Work with production, quality, and engineering teams on material and product related issues
- Collaborate with production on production plans to meet customer on-time delivery while optimizing inventory and manpower resources
- Maintain raw material inventory levels
- Maintain the ERP system that manages the Bill of Materials, costing, inventory accuracy, and routings
- Lead lean and continuous improvement projects
What they are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business, but will consider an Associates with equivalent experience
- 4+ years in a similar role with production scheduling, production control, inventory control, material expediting, warehouse management or MRP/ERP systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, Material Flow, Visual Management and Root Cause Analysis
- Strong leadership and management skills are required
- Any metal fabrication or welding is a plus
- APICS certification is a plus
- Looking for a self-starter
