Job Description
Thomas Fok & Associates, Inc. is seeking a surveyor for immediate hire in Youngstown, Ohio. This is a great opportunity to utilize your skills and grow with a thriving, tenured company!
Thomas Fok & Associates, Inc. has been providing surveying products and engineering support services to public and private clients throughout Ohio since 1976. If you are a motivated, conscientious person that possesses the minimum qualifications listed below, they want to speak with you!
Education and Experience
- Valid drivers license
- Microsoft office products
- 4 years surveying experience or education
- Field equipment use, care, maintenance (preference for Trimble systems)
- Data collection, note keeping
- CADD systems Bentley Open Roads Designer (AutoDesk Civil 3D understanding)
- ODOT surveying and mapping, right of way plan development
- Part 107 pilot license preferred but not required.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Records research
- Control surveys
- Topographic and boundary surveys
- Monument recovery (centerline, right of way, property)
- Data processing, analysis, mapping
- Resolution of rights of way, property boundaries, and easements
- Legal description preparation and closure reports
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team or as a team leader
Physical Requirements
This position does require walking long distances, climbing hills, using a sledgehammer and other tools, traversing rugged terrain, doing field work in outdoor environment with all weather conditions.
Professional Surveyor License (Ohio) or Surveyor Intern a definite plus, salary commensurate with experience. Position may require daily or weekly travel to and from projects sites and the option to work remotely. Lodging and meal expenses reimbursed for overnight stays when required.
