Required Skills:
5+ years working with Cognos
Knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager models with little oversight
Knowledge of Cognos Modeling
Minimum of 5+ years of expert proficiency in developing and maintaining reports using Cognos.
Advanced skills using Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Active Reports, and Business Insight Advanced.
Demonstrated experience and ability to work with business users to gather requirements and manage scope.
Expert-level knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
Expertise in the preparation of the architecture and design of data integration strategies and the
implementation of data stores.
Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and proprietary databases including OLAP cubes.
Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills.
Experience training end users or technical support staff to use programs.
5+ years of Cognos Framework Manager experience

Preferred Skills:
Experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL
Demonstrable experience working with large, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures.

Detailed Job Description:
Knowledge of Cognos 11 Framework Manager, Cognos Reporting and data modeling are required.
The ability to design, develop, and implement various enterprise reporting solutions.
The successful candidate must possess hands-on, significant working knowledge of the IBM Cognos 10.2 and 11.2 BI suite of components, especially Report Studio and Framework Manager.
Knowledge of Qlik Sense, Qlik application design and the ability to implement best practices would be desirable but not required.
Success in this role depends on strong technical, creative and analytical skills, as well as excellent communications in order to codify customer requirements and develop outstanding solutions.
The candidate needs to develop consistent and maintainable Cognos FM data models that have the ability to expand based upon new business requirements.
Deep level troubleshooting ability.
Identifying problems in advance and looking for continuous process improvements.
Participate in problem management and come up with solutions when the need arises.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
