Job Description

The role will plan and manage, align and integrate various projects across the commission. This role will be accountable for project management within the Program and Project Management Office assessing impacts, mitigating risks, and insuring leadership is continuously informed throughout a project lifecycle. Design and coordinate an implementation plan with end users, ERP support team and other stakeholders Demonstrate expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project charter, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours and cost), milestone/deliverable charts Demonstrate experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements Demonstrate expertise in teambuilding and leading teams Demonstrate exceptional decision-making, organizational and time management skills Demonstrate competencies in project management with application development and deployment projects Manage the design, development and implementation of integrated solutions with both onsite and offsite resources Coordinate with multiple vendors to establish work-efforts, maintaining an overall project plan Provide periodic project updates Analysis specifications to ensure business objectives are met Oversee Unit and Integration Testing Support System and Client Acceptance Test Efforts Work with other team members to understand functional and technical requirements and identify and resolve issues and risks Project includes understanding potential different implementation options, weighing them for best course of action and recommending best sequence and project methodology (traditional vs. agile) Project involves development, integration and implementation of different business unit requirements potential integration with back-office systems, integration middleware, web services Determine goals and priorities with management and key stakeholders, project sponsors and delivery managers Negotiate the performance of activities with team members and their managers Manage and communicate clear vision of the project's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members Prepare project plan and obtain management approval Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action Tracking and reporting on progress to plan, cost and schedule reporting and change control Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors Involve functional expertise and specialist in design reviews and key decisions Manage change to preserve business plan commitments

B.S. in MIS, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of Professional Project Management experience (PMP certification preferred) 7+ years of managing Information Technology related projects using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools; Proficiency with use of Microsoft Project required At least 5-7 years of experience as a hands-on implementation consultant in Oracle JD Edwards Application experience with Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One preferred Experience with managing ERP implementations preferred Functional knowledge of the following modules: Purchasing, Job Cost, Inventory, Contract Billing, Equipment Billing, Financials, Payroll Familiar with JD Edwards E1 User Defined Objects such as Grids, Form Extensions, Pages, Watchlists, Notifications, Orchestrations Knowledge of JDE Security Strong leadership, administrative and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to make presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
