Process Engineer

My Client, a large Manufacturing firm in Evansville, requires the services, and skills of a
talented Process engineer.
Overview:

Continuous Improvement Projects
Process Improvements
Capital expenditure requests, development, ROI and submission
Lead Kaizen events
Lead and Implement CAPEX projects
Responsible for improvements in Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Actively engage with manufacturing floor operators
Work with suppliers on new products, obtain prototypes, set-up testing/evaluations
Project Management
Responsible to improve the operations thought process improvement, standardization and training
Develop and implement Best Practices across Dura-Line
Write processes and procedures
Write performance reports for quality and production
Participate in 5Y, Fishbone events
Support local and regional engineering efforts
Asset/Capitalization documentation
Create cad assembly drawings w/ bill of material complete for manufacture
Evaluate customer complaints & other issues, complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions- an engineer solution (vs administrative solution), eliminate the issue long term vs short term solutions
Must Have Skills/Experience:

Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout,
and production equipment
-Troubleshoot, monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of
manufacturing processes
-Evaluate, design, implement and monitor manufacturing processes and
operating systems including production flow, facility, and production equipment
-Proficient Autocad experience, drawing, layouts
2+ years as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment
-Someone with manufacturing floor experience, value added for working in
places where there was a strong discipline for standards and job instructions
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics, industrial
engineering preferred) or related field or equivalent work experience
STANDARD
Hands on experience in leading kaizen events, lean Six Sigma projects,
continuous process improvements, PFMEA, participating in 5Y & fishbone events
-They will be able to optimize operations through the use of continuous
improvement tools like Kaizen and value stream mapping
-Experience in Lean initiatives and process; knowledge of ISO procedures,
statistical methods and their applications
Must be technology savvy, can automate and digitalize projects and standard
work (Automate workflow, sensor techniques, data capture, PLC, real time
automated workflow system). Proficient with Microsoft office (strong Excel skills)
-Familiarity with ERP/SAP/ODEN systems, including purchase order management
-Experience writing SOPs process and procedures, performance reports for
quality & production, operations training materials, and supporting information
5 years managing projects. Must have strong project management
experience. Manage projects like:
-Scrap and productivity goals
-Manage product introduction
-Scrap, COPQ, Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Conversion cost, On time
execution of projects, for cost improvements, scrap reduction
-CAPEX/capital projects
3+ years' experience with Data management, data integrity and
process auditing.
- Manage annual ISO document review
Able to manage and create various projects, work instructions and other
process documents.
-Must be able to gather/compile information from various sources,
and create reports, SOP, track progress, create checklists
for audit purposes/accountability

-Lead and train operators in manufacturing processes

- Ability to manage vendor relationships and work with suppliers on new
products, obtain prototypes, set-up testing/evaluations
