Welder is responsible for welding the required steel as prescribed in the blueprint, while maintaining quality of the product and safe work practices.
Welding parts to form complete units or subunits, following drawings, layout specifications, and other verbal and written instructions and diagrams.
Reading and interpreting blueprints for welding specifications i.e. weld symbols.
Interpreting blueprints and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
Designing, assembling, and using jigs and fixtures to ensure efficient and accurate assembly. Performing needed cutting, forming, and welding using appropriate equipment, consumables, and hand tools.
Verifying that material components and finished product meet specificationsMonitoring, cleaning, troubleshooting, adjusting, and performing required routine maintenance to maintain uptime and equipment reliability and tolerances.
Inspecting and reporting major welds concerns and recommend solutions
Job Requirements:
Welder Trade Certification and/or CWB certification.
3 Years industrial experience with flux core welding and overhead crane operation.
Experience in Structural Steel fabrication.
Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blue prints, and other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices and procedures.
Thorough with set up and operation of welding machine and other equipment and metal fabrication equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
