Material Handler

Material Handler will be working as part of a team that follows best practice processes to ensure customer service is efficient and provides accurate, good quality structural steel materials.
The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of assigned tasks in the shop, using various material handling equipment.
Handle materials for various operational processes including inventory control to identify and track materials that are being loaded.
Crane operation to assist with the following:to load or unload structural steel materials onto flatbed trucks, load steel on to the plasma machines,organize steel materials from suppliers, off-load and stockpile SIN beams after fabrication, unload supplier trucks and stockpile for use
Communicate and work with other team members to ensure proper movement of materials throughout the shopHandle materials for various operational processes including inventory control to identify and track materials that are being loaded
Actively and safely operate crane machines to assist with the following: Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and participate in all group health and safety meetings

Job Requirements:
1 year of crane experience.
Up to 1-year loading experience.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to easily adopt to new processes
Required to meet changing business needs.
Ability to work at heights.
Physically demanding- able to lift/carry 50 lbs+.
Without compromise, maintain a safe and clean workplace
