Job Description:

Our Sourcing Specialists are responsible for participating in the New Product Introduction process including planning, negotiating, and purchasing components in support of NPI for our manufacturing facility in Livermore, California
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Supply Chain professional with a proven track record in:
Identifying reliable suppliers across a broad array of commodities
Creating and administering RFPs
Identifying and implementing Cost Savings opportunities
Establishing and managing Supply Agreements
The ideal candidate will drive procurement decisions that:
Result in high levels of supplier performance
Are based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends
Develop and progress strategic partnerships with suppliers
Actively minimize risk
Through individual contributions and cross functional influencing, Gilligs Sourcing Specialists ensure our supply base for all NPI projects are positioned to provide cost effective, quality components and services that will support OEM Production.
Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and integrate new suppliers and technologies
Prepare RFPs, review quotes, and evaluate proposals
Plan, negotiate and place purchase orders in support of NPI projects
Negotiate contracts, including rebates, costs, terms of supply, service, and quality
Attend project meetings, be the voice of Supply Chain and keep the Supply Chain team updated on project developments
Collaborate with current product procurement to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities
Work closely with multiple departments, including Engineering, Production, Sales and Product Planning to optimize Gilligs Supply Chain.
Advance supplier relationships and be the point of contact for NPI issues
Ensure the continuous improvement of quality, service, and total cost in support of business needs
Performs other duties as required
Qualification:

BA/BS or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role
Strong problem-solving skills, organization skills, and attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to create, analyze and make decisions based off large amounts of data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Assignments are complex and broad in scope requiring outstanding creativity, superior initiative, judgment, and leadership
Knowledge of lean principles preferred
Proficient in use of Syteline MRP system preferred
ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT and WORKING CONDITIONS:

Start time is 6:00am
Occasional overtime is required
Must have ability to occasionally lift up to 30lbs and work in a standing, sitting, or walking position for prolonged periods of time
Working environment includes office settings, manufacturing floor, and warehouse
