Senior Executive - Quality Control (Packaging Material)

We have an opportunity for Quality Control Packaging at our plant in Sanjan Umbergoan (Gujarat)

Please find the JD and the instruments available for conducting a Quality Control of Packaging Material ( Laminates / Corrugated Boxes and handling Vendors)

1) Ensure that the area is cleared prior to start the machine. Study production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements.

2) Coordinate with warehouse, materials and stores function to monitor everyday activities of units and ensure efficient working. Maintain accurate stock keeping of packing material (all 3 types).

3) Issue Checklist to work before start the job of Quality checking. Need to check the all points as per mentioned in the check list.

4) Need to check the issuing Packing material is matched with the Quality standard-Label, Sleeves & Jars are as per the Design and need to match with the Originals.

5) Check the GSM of the laminate rolls (with a GSM Meter) received for packing-it should be as per the laid down quality parameters.

6) Check the quality and material specifications for all primary, secondary and tertiary packaging materials.

7) Post checks:-

a) Check the checklist as per the quality parameters/details as stipulated by the management.

b) Check the Details of packaging material received and the one that is getting into the machine.

c) Check all the Reports for the improvement on the filling machine.

d) Check the weight variation of the pouches as per the production out.

e) Check the Quality of Packaged Product.

8) Check all pouches (SKU wise) for the correct prescribed weight; any air leak/escape and the way the machine cuts the pouch string. It should align with the standards as given in the SOP. Check the perforation count of the pouches.

9) Check all pet jars for (SKU wise) the correct prescribed weight any air leak/escape; wrinkles and the way the labels have been sealed on the jar. It should align with the standards as given in the SOP.
