Lerom Law is a downtown Toronto-based immigration law firm. We are looking for an Immigration Case Worker to assist a senior immigration lawyer in preparing immigration applications, mainly focusing on business immigration, work permits, and LMIAs. If you are looking for a workplace with the potential for growth where you will work under the supervision of an experienced immigration lawyer, submit your resume and cover letter.

Skills and qualifications:

Strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Ability to multitask.
Excellent English language skills (during an interview process, you will have a writing test).
IT proficiency in Word and Adobe.
University degree or completion of paralegal/law clerk/immigration consultant program.
2+ years of relevant experience (immigration files).

Requirements

Assisting the senior immigration lawyer in preparing immigration applications.
Researching the processes and requirements for different types of immigration applications.
Sorting out and organizing supporting documents provided by the clients; preparing post-review recommendations and liaising with the clients helping them to gather all necessary documents to support their immigration applications; responding to client inquiries by e-mail and/or telephone promptly.
Preparing various types of application forms by obtaining inputs from the clients and filling in immigration application forms.
Drafting support letters and other documents (e,g., declaration, affidavit, invitation, employment, cover, etc.) for review by the lawyer.
Preparing end-to-end client applications as per the lawyer s direction and monitoring/communicating case progress.
Performing administrative duties, including, among other duties, organizing and managing files, tracking dates, doing spreadsheets, and scanning submission packages.

Schedule:
9 am 6 pm
Monday to Friday
Overtime
Must work from the office (no remote work). Lerom Law office is located at 20 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5J 2N8.
