Your role

Your role as AI Strategist is is to own and deliver AI Strategy projects to our customers, enabling them to build impactful AI-driven organizations and consult on their technology related needs. The responsibilities within this role are extremely versatile since you will be interacting extensively with developers, customers and the business teams. Therefore, it is key for you to have a business acumen as well as sound background knowledge on ML, its technical implementations and its utilization in business. In order to build and cultivate outstanding relationships with our clients, we seek team members who understands the principles of project management, are passionate about developing ML projects for clients and can support on acquiring new leads.

Your main responsibilities can include the following:

• Conceptualizing and delivering AI strategies: You will be conceptualizing strategies to enable our clients to utilize AI consistently within their business. This means understanding the customer needs, developing solutions (data strategy, innovation funnel, case sourcing, rapid prototyping...) with our teams and delivering them to the client. Here you will be managing many stakeholders both on the internal side (experts, ML engineers) and on the client side.
• Analyzing AI Projects: Additionally to entire AI strategies, you will be taking charge of analyzing customers AI cases through identifying relevant information sources (desk research, interviews...) and gathering and interpreting related business (stakeholder structures, revenue numbers...) & process data (production workflow, customer journeys...). You will also be presenting the findings on business potential and technical feasibility of the cases both for the team (team meetings) and externally (workshops, presentations, talks)
• Building customer relationships: Both for new and existing customers you will be the point of contact and support them in building their AI-driven business. You are responsible for understanding their needs, facilitating exchange and enabling them to grow through our support.
• Developing & expanding our offering: As a startup we're always on the hunt for improving and expanding our activities. As AI Strategist you will be part of ideations, and iterations on our constant pursuit of questioning the status quo and offering the most impactful services to our clients and partners.
• Representing Merantix: As part of the team, you will be representing the Merantix ecosystem at fairs or events, expand your industry network and build relationships with customers and partners.

• __Customer focused:__ You have experience working with and for clients, engaging with them and managing exchanges whilst steering projects with them. Therefore, we look for excellent communication skills in English and German both towards clients and colleagues. (Additional languages are very welcome!).
• Track record: Master or MBA in/related to Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics or similar and solid understanding of Machine Learning applications (alternatively ML skills can be self taught). Experience in client-related work through 1-2+ years of full-time working experience in management consulting, leading startups, technology companies or other fast-paced environments.
