Tasks

We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer who is passionate about becoming our new DCS and QCS specialist to join our Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) organization in Finland - in the specific in our Projects And Automation Solutions (PAS).In this role, you will lead small to medium size project teams (5-10 engineers) in the Pulp & Paper industry, and implement standard engineering solutions with customized specials to successfully and within budgeted time and cost constraints.

Requirements

  • You will act as a technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensure that the technical project requirements are fully defined, agreed and delivered within schedule and cost constraints.
  • You will act as a technical interface to 3rd party suppliers to assure correct functionality of the 3rd party deliverables including the correct integration of those deliverables in Honeywell systems or solutions.
  • Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
  • You will produce and approve functional and detailed design specifications and provides technical leadership, support, and, expertise for the project team.
  • Ensure that the engineered solution meets project requirements, across all disciplines, in terms of functionality, Honeywell standard designs & design rules, quality, and supports documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by optimizing the use of global productivity tools and other Standard Builds deliverables.
  • Monitor and controls technical project scope against the Project Execution Plan and Functional & Detailed Design Specifications, ensures effective change control, and Identifies risks/opportunities.
  • Report progress, technical problems, and/or changes to the project manager.
  • Act as the technical lead during installation and commissioning on site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering
  • Fluency in English and Finnish
  • Willing to travel (20%)
  • A few years of project experience as Sr. Engineer/Project Engineer within Pulp & Paper industry
  • Extensive DCS and QCS experience
  • Customer interfacing experiences and good communication skills

Nice to have:

  • LE Certification
  • Product certification
  • Bachelor s Degree in engineering preferred
  • Appropriate Technical Qualification for the role
  • Six Sigma Certification
