Software Quality Engineer for Robotics (F/M/D)

The Opportunity

You will join the Mapping and Perception department__, and collaborate closely with people from a diverse set of cultural and professional backgrounds, who share a passion for delivering top-class mapping solutions that aim to digitize physical spaces through the creation of photorealistic digital twins. The team's mission this year

To elevate our software solutions used in mapping entire buildings and creating realistic 3D representations based on cutting-edge technology in the area of robotics.

How you will make an impact

• You will create and develop state-of-the-art software testing methodologies and processes which assure and advance the quality of our mapping devices
• You will carry out the manual tests for software releases in both regular but also explorative manner
• You will work on planning, designing, and specification and development of test strategies, test dashboards, and reports to enable frequent releases of high quality
• You will support the development team in the implementation of high-quality tests
• You will validate reported bugs systematically, perform data analysis and interpret test results
• You will work on prioritizing, debugging, and monitoring bugs to speed up the process as a crucial part of an energetic and fast-paced product development team
• You will closely collaborate with key stakeholders in other teams working on support and services

What will help you succeed in the role

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with test execution but also quality assurance processes (test case planning, issue tracking, regression, and isolation testing)
• Sound knowledge of integration testing and test automation
• Experience with Linux and its command line
• Experience with the hardware of sensors like laser scanners, IMUs, and cameras
• Knowledge in test automation using scripting languages (e.g. Python)
• Experience with testing embedded devices or hardware, in general, would be nice to have
