Your Responsibilities
- Oversee the chemical analysis and creation of test plans for products, to ensure their safety by liaising with different testing institutes
- Ensure materials used are compliant with the relevant global standards and regulations by following internal compliance testing protocols
- Keep up to date with changing global compliance regulations and standards and implementing any changes in the company s internal compliance processes
- Maintenance of product portfolios technical documentation, test reports and supplier declarations
- Responsible for drafting compliance documents and declarations to satisfy customer requests and other external parties
- Create and improve work instructions (process flows, SOP, tutorials etc.)
- Responsible for conducting toxicological risk assessments for products inline with the requirements of California Proposition 65
- Manage the reporting of non-compliant materials in products to their respective suppliers, while documenting, reviewing, and verifying new substitutes and ensuring they are replaced and phased in, in a timely and efficient manner
- Responsible for reporting and updating REACh SVHC non-compliant materials in the SCIP database
- Own the collection of information from suppliers regarding the hazardous substances in the materials sourced for product EG. REACH SVHC candidate List, RoHS, packaging, RSL etc.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master in toxicology, chemistry, biology or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience working in the product compliance and regulatory field is an advantage
- Familiarity with harmful substances regulations such as REACh, RoHS, Cal. Prop. 65 is an advantage
- Proficiency in the English language - written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Personal skills: Team player, attention to detail, good communication skills, and project management skills
- Maintain a high level of independence and responsibility for achieving results
